Have you ever shied away from something because you were afraid? Closing your eyes and running away wasn’t an option. Saying you would pass when everyone was counting on you. Opting to do something the hardest way because of your jitters. If so, you’re not alone.

Missing my turn as I was driving on an unfamiliar road, I had to face my own anxiety filled moment. Fear ravaged my entire body realizing I had to drive up a terrifying steep winding hill. My hand shook as I tried to control the steering wheel. What seemed like an eternity were mere minutes. I exhaled a sigh of relief as I conquered my fear when I made it to the top. Words are not enough to express the joy I felt.

God has a way of making us face our fears. He will take us to the place where He knows we avoid. The hilly, curvy roads filled with everything that is cringe worthy to us is where we find our inner strength. That is also where He will lead and guide us along the way the most. God’s hands are always upon us.

The next time you are in a fearful situation remember this verse,  Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
