Dancing Through Your Storm:
Finding Hope & Strength
Desiree Future
Hope everyone is doing well in this first week of the summer. Most of us have plans to do a few things like vacations, staycations, weekend trips or even day trips.
As for me, mine is called working on my third novel. I’ll head to the park with my nice journal my writing critique partner sent me and get to writing.
Anyway, this is going to be a short post, but it has a nice throwback ending to get you smiling and moving. I hope you enjoy it.
Storms come in all shapes and sizes. Whether earthquakes, windstorms, firestorms, hurricanes, blizzards or tornados, they cause serious damage. Houses and buildings are tossed around like rag dolls.
You can hear the roar while you’re in the belly of the beast of the atrocious being. Loud booming is added to the roaring sounds. Hunkered down in the safety of your home you pray it will end soon.
Life resembles this as we know it. One minute everything is nice and smooth. The next clouds and lightning is everywhere. The awful cyclone of a ride seems to have no end in sight.
In the middle of it, you ask yourself how much more can you take. With weak knees, you’re barely holding on. But you’re still fighting your way out.
I know it’s hard, but it’ll be over soon. You need to know that trials and tribulations are only temporary.
Here’s a tip I learned to help me get through some trying times. It’s powerful so it only takes one.
It could be a whole lot worse than what it is.
Instead of your basement flooding, you could be homeless. Instead of having to use a walking cane, you could be wheelchair bond. Instead of cleaning toilets as your job you could be panhandling for change every day.
Just remember, after every storm comes a rainbow. So, dance like it’s already over. Let’s Groove.
2 Corinthians 4:17 For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long.
