God’s Loving Arms

By Desiree Future

Hey you, the one sitting on the couch or staring at the computer reading this blog. Yes, you I mean you. I’m not sure what you’re going through right now but I need you to understand something. It will be all right.

If you’re suffering from stress God has you wrapped in His loving arms. If the pain in your body just won’t go away God has you wrapped in His loving arms. If your heart aches from the loss of a loved one God has you wrapped in His loving arms.

Your kids are growing like weeds, and you can barely afford the thrift stores anymore. Prices have increased on everything, yet your paycheck has remained the same. You consider taking the bus because it might be cheaper than putting gas in your older car that needs maintenance.

You buy a small amount of groceries to make it stretch because the prices are double what they used to be. You look at your high electric bill from the extremely hot weather and don’t know how you’ll pay. Yet the winter is coming, and you’ll need heat, so you have to find a way to pay for it.

Most days you don’t want to get out of bed. The fact of the matter is you lay there staring at the ceiling. Or sit on the edge of the bed trying to figure out how you got to this place of despair.

Let me tell you something. I’ve been where you are, so I understand. The trials and tribulations that God puts us through only make us stronger. Strong enough to withstand whatever comes our way.

No, the trials are not easy at all. However, when you’ve been through some things, you learn some valuable lessons. You learn how to navigate through your obstacles.

This short article is meant to give you hope. Hope that you will understand that I understand because I’ve walked in my own uncomfortable shoes too many times to recount. Now remember whatever happens God’s loving arms are wrapped around you.

    1. Melissa, I’m so sorry I thought I replied to you. I wrote this post a day before I discovered a close family friend passed away. I’ve known him since the late 80s so it was a huge shock.

Thanks for reading. Enjoy your weekend.
