Welcome to January 2026, and as this song by Nina Simone says, I’m Feeling Good.
This year, I plan to get back on track with my posting of more in-depth articles. I’ve already started by ordering a new dry-erase board calendar. This will help me erase things when I need to reschedule items more easily. I also purchased another board to jot down things I have to do.
As a single woman, you’d be amazed at just how many things you do. Between my blog, work, and home tasks, it’s a lot. Not to mention having health problems, it makes things slightly harder.
When I wrote everything I do on a draft calendar, I was astonished. Although the pretty-colored labels looked nice, there were simply too many. Most were scattered between Saturday and Sunday. My friend asked where on the paper was my day to rest.
It was then that I had to reevaluate my entire calendar. Sure, it looked good on paper, but when was I really able to sit down and exhale? According to my schedule, I wasn’t.
After this realization, I began to combine things into one. Grocery day (for fresh produce & sale items) meant going to the car wash and gas station. With them all being in the same vicinity, that means I save both time and gas.
Sunday is Meal Prep day for me. After spending hours in the kitchen, I might as well clean it thoroughly. I am knocking two birds out with one stone.
These are just some of the things I’ve implemented to improve my life. They’ll also help me have more time to write. As well as even time to get out and enjoy myself. What changes have you made to better your life?
2 Corinthians 5:17: Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
